About the brewery
Hitchhiker started brewing in May of 2014 on a 3bbl (93 gallons) electric system in the basement of our current Mt. Lebanon Tap Room. In June 2017 all beer production was transitioned to our production brewery in Sharpsburg, PA. We now brew all beer on a 15bbl (465 gallons) steam system.
Our cellar is currently comprised of four 15bbl fermentors and a 30bbl Brite Tank. In our Sharpsburg Tap Room we have two American made 30bbl (930 gallon) Oak Foeders and an ever growing collection of wine and spirit barrels.
